Something new for kids and teens this summer at the Marcel Bujold Sports Complex

The Marcel Bujold Sports Complex is innovating by organising a daytime sports camp for young people from 5 to 12 years of age and a daytime adventure camp for teens from 13 to 16 during the summer holidays. This initiative is part of the College’s effort to develop nature-based activities at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles.

From June 24 to August 23, 2013, parents will be able to enrol their children in these daytime vacation activities. Kids between the ages of 5 and 12 will practice a variety of sports in a context that encourages healthy lifestyle choices; the sports include swimming, soccer, badminton, handball, climbing and basketball, and will take place both outdoors and indoors.

As for teens from 13 to 16, they will learn forest survival skills, orienteering, and climbing as well as aquatic sports like kayaking and sailing, with an emphasis on the same objectives.

Kids can enroll for the week, one week at a time, for a fee of $130. Activities will run from 9 am to 4 pm and a daycare service will be provided from 7 am to 9 am and from 4 pm to 5 pm.
