To be admitted to a program leading to a diploma of collegial studies (DEC) at the CEGEP de la Gaspesie et des Iles, candidates must meet the following requirements:

 

 

  • Hold a secondary school graduation diploma (D.E.S.)
    or hold a vocational studies diploma (DEP) and have successfully completed the following courses:

    • Secondary 5: Language of instruction
    • Secondary 5: Second language
    • Secondary 4: Mathematics

In addition, applicants must:

  • Meet the pre-requisite conditions established for their chosen program;

and

  • Meet the particulars established by the College.


However, the College can admit any individual with training that it considers to be equivalent.

 

Exceptionaly and conditionaly, candidates who have not deemed all the units required to obtain a DES and who agree to deem the missing units during their first semester can be admitted. Individuals who have yet to deem more than 6 missing units cannot be admitted.

The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles receives your request for admission from the SRACQ, analyzes it and posts your results in the Personal Dossier on the SRACQ site. The Cégep then confirms your admission status and sends you the documents you need to register for the following semester.
