The Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles, in partnership with the organisations Équiterre and ENvironnement JEUnesse invites Year 5 Francophone and Anglophone students enrolled at the region’s secondary schools to organise eco-responsible graduation proms. As part of the Prom for the Earth contest, schools from Grande-Vallée to Matapédia, including the Islands, will have until March 15 to submit projects that will help make their grad proms more ecological.

The Gaspé Peninsula Science Centre: latest presentation a resounding success
This fall, the Gaspé Peninsula Science Centre will be offering a new presentation for Francophone and Anglophone students enrolled at elementary and secondary schools from Sainte-Anne-des-Monts to Chandler. Entitled Waves, sound and light, this presentation featuring a series of some fifteen demonstrations is already guaranteed to be seen by 1,650 individuals, exceeding the goal of 1500 viewers initially set for the fall term by the Science Centre.

The Gaspé Peninsula Science Centre received two grants totalling $100,000 in the last two weeks. This money will be used to consolidate assets and develop new projects for the region’s young people.
